Massilly North America was founded in 1996 originally located in Mississauga, Ontario. We are a high-speed manufacturer of metal twist caps for the food and beverage industry. We supply our valued clients with quality products in North America. Since our move to Brantford, Ontario in 2012, we have significantly increased in size and we continue to grow,

Production Food Safety Auditor

The Production Food Safety Auditor is responsible for supporting the Food Safety program, by completing Food Safety audits and ensuring compliance within the production team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in ISO 9001 and ISO22000 Food Safety audit program and perform internal food safety audits
  • Input data collected from audits into database; create reports from findings 
  • Support production supervisors in the completion of Prerequisite Program (PRP) audits
  • Work with Production Supervisors, Maintenance and Quality to ensure Food safety program is adhered to and PRP’s are completed in a timely manner
  • Liaise with the Maintenance department on PRP findings; problem solve food safety non-compliance issues
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety standards, develop and implement related procedures, maintain and review records, train staff on Food Safety issues, and improve plant programs 
  • Maintain database including reports, logs, records and files 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma OR post-secondary education in a related field 
  • Intermediate English (verbal & written) 
  • Intermediate computer skills; database experience would be an asset 
  • Experience in coordinating ISO Quality and Food Safety programs is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and comfortable working with large amounts of data/information

Engineering Specialist

The Engineering Specialist is relied upon for trouble-shooting across all functional production areas, to provide continuous improvement and training of operators. This role has a direct impact on meeting plant budget and production efficiency targets.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Maintenance department and Production Supervisors to troubleshoot equipment issues and assist in resolving equipment failures
  • Develop best practices, processes, and innovative solutions to improve production efficiencies and quality of output
  • Identify opportunities for reducing downtime, changeover time and scrap
  • Participate in upgrading skills and training of new and existing operators
  • Play a key role in the analysis of potential new projects, including new production lines, new product fabrication, equipment upgrades, or machine retrofits
  • Collaborate in the development and management of plant layout revisions, new equipment installations and line modifications
  • Create and upgrade engineering and tooling drawings

Minimum Qualifications:

    • University Degree or Technical Diploma in a related technical discipline; Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Industrial) preferred
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing operation
    • Advanced MS Office or Google Suite
    • Experience working with SolidWorks
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
    • Intermediate English (verbal & written)
    • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Production Supervisor

Massilly North America Inc. is a member of the Massilly Group founded in France over 100 years ago. We are a leading supplier of metal twist caps and capping machinery for the essential food and beverage industry. Our manufacturing facility is located in Brantford, Ontario.

The Production Supervisor oversees the operation of several high-speed production lines. Monitoring progress towards department goals, the Supervisor ensures the achievement of the highest levels of safety, quality and productivity.

  • Establish and maintain positive employee relations
  • Prepare reports concerning production, quality, maintenance, safety, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a Supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • Intermediate communication skills in English
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts

Production Team Members

What we offer for your hard work:

Our production facility runs three shifts - must be able to work all three

  • Days ( 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m)
  • Afternoons ( 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m)
  • Nights ( 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m)

We will teach you to:

  • Safely operate equipment
  • Check the quality of the product you are making
  • Enter production data and maintain records

You need:

  • Basic mechanical knowledge

Material Handler - Shipper/Receiver

Hiring for Day shift: 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

We will teach you to:

  • Safely operate a forklift within our facility
  • Locate and load palletized products onto trailers or containers
  • Receive, verify and unload incoming goods
  • Rotate stock using FIFO
  • Maintain documents and records

You need:

  • Forklift license/certification
  • Positive work history
  • Experience driving a lift truck in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift 45lb boxes
