Massilly North America was founded in 1996 originally located in Mississauga, Ontario. We are a high-speed manufacturer of metal twist caps for the food and beverage industry. We supply our valued clients with quality products in North America. Since our move to Brantford, Ontario in 2012, we have significantly increased in size and we continue to grow,

Maintenance Electrician

We are in need of a Licensed Electrician to join our Maintenance department. The Maintenance Electrician will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Shifts: This position rotates through all three shifts (Days, Nights, Afternoons)

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production and utility machinery and equipment
  • Perform emergency repairs as required
  • Inspect, install, adjust and relocate machinery
  • Interpret/use electrical drawings, plant layouts, machine wiring diagrams, equipment specs
  • Maintain machine shop/maintenance records

You need:

  • Electrical License (309A or 442A)
  • Minimum 3 years of performing equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of operating characteristics of electrical and electronic controls and sensing devices used on automated equipment
  • PLC programming experience in software systems (e.g. Omron and AB)

Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor oversees the operation of several high-speed production lines. Monitoring progress toward department goals, the Supervisor ensures the achievement of the highest levels of safety, quality, and productivity. This position, on average, oversees 15-18 team members and directly reports to the Production Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct production activities to meet process and product specifications, quality, and spoilage standards
  • Organize, monitor, and measure work performed within each department
  • Monitor the status of repair and maintenance of equipment in assigned areas
  • Oversee and enforce safety rules and regulations designed to create and maintain a safe working environment
  • Establish and maintain positive employee relations
  • Prepare reports concerning production, quality, maintenance, safety, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Intermediate communication skills in English
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts

Machine Operator

Our Production team is looking for Machine Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for the continuous operation of your production line. You will maintain the equipment and the quality of the product you produce.

Our production facility runs three shifts - must be able to work all three

  • Days ( 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m)
  • Afternoons ( 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m)
  • Nights ( 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m)

We will teach you to:

  • Safely operate equipment
  • Troubleshoot and make adjustments to the equipment as required
  • Mix and prepare lacquers
  • Check the quality of the product you are making
  • Enter production data and maintain records

You need:

  • Advanced mechanical knowledge
  • Experience working with chemicals
  • Positive work history
  • Good English skills
